How do you navigate the U.S. healthcare system to find new investments?

First, we search for companies that lower costs, improve clinical outcomes or enhance the patient experience, and hopefully accomplishes more than one of those goals. Second, we ask how your solution impacts the 3 P’s: Patients, Providers, and Payers. Third, is your solution scalable? If you have created a scalable solution that accomplishes at least one of these primary goals and you can implement it without creating more friction between the 3 P’s, the results will be both financially sound and systemically better for U.S. healthcare delivery.

What is your perfect day?

I know everyone has a bias for their hometown, but I think I have a legit claim. Nothing beats a summer day hanging with my family at the beach, followed by an evening on Bannister’s Wharf in Newport, RI. Walking through the crowds of window shoppers, having a drink at the Black Pearl, eating dinner at the Clarke Cooke House, then grabbing cookies at The Cookie Jar is as close to a perfect day as it gets.

What is an interesting fact about you?

In restaurants, I prefer to sit with my back to the wall. And I only let people I trust sit behind me in a car. This is what happens when your Dad investigated mob hits for a living.
