Great Hill Partners is proud to share its support of the Sponsors for Educational Opportunity’s (SEO’s) 2024 Alternative Investments Conference as part of the firm’s overall commitment to diversity and inclusion in the private equity industry. SEO, whose mission is to close the academic and career opportunities gaps for motivated young people, has been providing resources to high-achieving professionals from underrepresented groups since the start of their Alternative Investments program in 2009. This program includes intensive coaching, training, and mentorship opportunities for first-, second, and third-year investment banking professionals, initiatives to introduce students to the alternative investments space and connect partner firms with emerging talent, and several academies and conferences across different alternative investment strategies.

Great Hill Partners Associate Deu Awuok is a testament to the success of SEO’s programs and the opportunities that sponsorship provides. Deu joined the SEO Edge program as a college student looking to break into the field of investment banking. As a participant, he received technical resources and mentorship, in addition to access to a community of talented and diverse students, which helped him get his start in the industry. Deu continued his involvement with SEO by attending their 2023 and 2024 Alternative Investments Conferences.
