BOSTON, MA – August 11, 2020 – Great Hill Partners, a growth-oriented private equity firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Joe Germanese to Principal. In his expanded role, Germanese will continue to originate and execute compelling growth investments in the fintech, business services, and software sectors.
Germanese joined Great Hill Partners in 2011 as an Associate. During his nine years with the firm, he helped shepherd the successful investments in Confirmation.com (acquired by Thomson Reuters) and Chrome River (acquired by Certify) where he served on their respective Board of Directors. He has also played a critical role in executing growth investments in current portfolio companies NMI, Vanco, and VersaPay.

Prior to joining Great Hill, Germanese was an investment banking analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Global Healthcare Group. Notably, he is a former member of the New England Revolution, a Major League Soccer club. Germanese received his B.A. with honors in Economics from Duke University.
