ZoomInfo is a subscription provider of data and tools to B2B sales and marketing organizations across a wide range of industries.
In the evolving landscape of data driven solutions for sales and marketing, ZoomInfo was well-positioned to dominate the market.
At the core of Zoom’s offering is the world’s most comprehensive, accurate, and detailed database of company and employee contact information, overlaid with a suite of tools that B2B marketers and salespeople use for prospecting, marketing, and recruiting. We led the search for the company’s new CEO. Derek Schoettle was recruited to lead ZoomInfo, a choice enthusiastically approved by Yonatan. We also brought on a new CFO in the first 12 months of our ownership, and completed the company’s first acquisition to expand from just contact info to company info. Under Derek's leadership, we doubled the company's go-to-market efforts and raised the growth rate from 40% to 100% per year in three months.
In 2019, ZoomInfo's biggest competitor, DiscoverOrg, acquired ZoomInfo. The combined business subsequently re-branded to the ZoomInfo name and completed its initial public offering on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "ZI".
